What Makes Us Unique?
We provide unmatched flexibility

Our approach couples the flexibility of an e-enabled environment with the breadth of advice available from entrepreneurs across the United States. Our program includes e-enabled meetings where you test ideas before the market does, online tools to interact in a safe and confidential environment on issues of the day - any time of day, and access to world class small business coaches that improve and sharpen your focus.

It Works
Our model is based on years of success

While we offer the nation’s first e-enabled peer advisory boards, our process is grounded in a proven approach refined by thousands of business leaders the world over. An approach heralded by the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Inc, Entrepreneur and Harvard.

Our Members Know Small Business Better than Anyone Else
Learn from other successful entrepreneurs

Each board is comprised of like minded entrepreneurs who believe they can learn more from each other more than any other source. Why, because being an entrepreneur is unique and has never been successfully accomplished alone.

In addition, each group is led by a certified small business coach with years of experience in challenging and leading successful small businesses.

The Beta is a Success
We've learned what works and what does not

As the nation’s first provider of e-enabled peer advisory boards for small business PeerSight conducted an extensive Beta Trial in order to understand what works and what can be improved. The results were pretty clear.

Beta statistics
  • Conducted over a 4 month period (September to December 2006)
  • Conducted with over 45 members and 5 active boards
  • Member revenues ranged from $100K to over $18M
  • Member employee count ranged from 1 employee to over 100
  • Membership represented 30+ industries
  • Membership represented every major region of the US, and Canada
  • Membership was equally distributed among male and female executives
  • Certified small business coaches served as the facilitators for the Beta
  • Several significant improvements were made to the program
Here is a summary of our findings, the improvements we’ve made and the benefits to our members:

Learning: Meeting length and a change in frequency creates the right balance of benefit and schedule flexibility

Program Enhancement: At 2 hours in length and a frequency of once every 3 weeks the meetings are long enough to give each member adequate time to address their issues without losing scheduling flexibility.

Learning: Meeting Preparation time can significantly improve meeting productivity

Program Enhancement: While our teleconference model provides scheduling flexibility we knew we could make better use of the meeting time. The solution is our new automated meeting preparation processes. After testing multiple approaches during the Beta we landed on one that enables the member to respond to a series of questions. This helps summarize a member’s issues in advance of the meeting and improve meeting productivity. In addition to the value of pre-thinking an issue, meeting time is preserved for finding solutions for problems.

Learning: The success of a Peer Advisory Board is directly tied to the long term commitment of its members.

Program Enhancement: By eliminating the free trial offered during the Beta and requesting a 3 month commitment from all members, we have eliminated the ‘window shoppers” and increased the overall commitment from every board member. The result is a stable and committed board of advisors capable of developing strong and valued relationships.

Learning: We can accelerate the member’s learning curve through the use of one on one advisory services

Program Enhancement: The value each member receives is equal to the strategic linkage associated with the issues, challenges and decisions they bring to the board. To ensure this linkage we've introduced a quarterly one on one with an advisor (the board’s facilitator and certified small business expert), where members can challenge and refine their focus.

Learning: Reduction in the group’s size creates faster group maturity without limiting diversity of thought

Program Enhancement: By reducing the group’s size from 10 members to 8 we can provide each member with more “air time” without damaging the group’s diversity and depth of experience. Quarterly reviews accelerate the maturity of the group and grow the equity value of each member's business.

In addition to the ability to seek regular advice on priority issues, members are given the opportunity to review their strategy, performance against goals and leadership performance quarterly with the group
